Bombardier Aerospace announced its all-composite Learjet 85 aircraft – the next generation in Learjet excellence – will be powered by
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW307B engines. The Learjet manufacturer also announced it selected Innovative Power Solutions’ (IPS) advanced DC Brushless Starter/Generator (BS/G) System as the engine starter solution for the new midsize jet.

At 6,100 pounds of take-off thrust, the PW307B engine incorporates a suite of advanced technologies, including a TALONTM low-emissions combustor, an advanced shock-management fan for increased flow capacity, and powdered-metal, high-pressure turbine disks for improved efficiency. The result is superior performance, better fuel consumption and improved operating economics, together with Pratt & Whitney Canada’s trademark dependability.
