EADS rationalises its top management remuneration policy

Posted in avianews by avianews on May 23, 2008

EADS rationalises its top management remuneration policy, in a context where it is enforcing a cost-saving and job-cut plan. Cinco Dias reports that the company thus decided to abandon the variable bonus paid to its board members as early as this year. Instead, the members will receive agreed payments for each board meeting they attend or each commission they participate to. EADS will also change its compensation agreements in case an executive is fired. In order to prevent any case of improper use of privileged information, the company is in talks with the trade unions over the implementation of an “ethical alert” system, under which employees would be able to denounce any suspicion of bad practices from the management.
