EADS intends to reorganise its internal insider trading rules
According to Financial Times Deutschland, EADS intends to reorganise its internal insider trading rules. The group will set up an independent compliance organisation, sources confirmed, and the company’s Chief Compliance Officer will have direct access to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. EADS denied that this new organisation was related to the French AMF case over possible insider trading at the company, which involves 17 of the group’s former and present top executives. The group instead emphasised that “the new system should draw its lessons from problems that occurred during the past two years, as for example the revision of the delivery schedule for the A380”.
