Boeing officially postponed plans to develop a successor for its 737 single-aisle model by several years. Spokeswoman Andy Angers boeing_737_1said last week that the working group set up in 2006 to do preliminary studies on the new plane’s design had been absorbed into the company’s broader product development unit. EADS plans to appoint a Chief Compliance Officer

EADS plans to appoint a Chief Compliance Officer who will be independent and have direct access to the board of directors, confirmed Tom Randell, a London-based external spokesman for EADS.
