Increasing demand for composites from Airbus and Boeing is poised to boost British engineering group Umeco. The company yesterday posted a 20% rise in full-year pre-tax profits, saying its composites business had largely benefited from strong demand from the civil aerospace market, which boasts record order backlogs. Umeco added that delays to the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 programmes had no material impact on the group’s activity. Financial Times, The Times, The Daily Telegraph
