Italian airline AirOne has ordered 24 Airbus planes

Italian airline AirOne has ordered 24 Airbus planes -12 A350s and 12 A330s- for $ 4.67Bn at list prices. The deal includes 12 A350s and 8 A330s in options. AirOne said the A330s will all be delivered by 2012 and the A350s by 2018. During a press conference in Rome, the airline’s CEO, Carlo Toto, confirmed that AirOne was still interested in taking over Alitalia but was “waiting for a proposal” from the government.
