L’Usine Nouvelle features a special report about aircraft recycling
L’Usine Nouvelle features a special report about aircraft recycling, focusing on the process developed by Airbus and its partners Sita and Alcan. Industry experts forecast that more than 6,000 aircraft will be recycled over the 20 coming years. In 2005, Airbus launched the Pamela project. The first dismantling test was conducted through 2007 with a 106-ton A300 plane. Olivier Malavallon, Pamela project manager at Airbus, claims that 70% of the aircraft’s weight can be reused with this process, compared with 30 to 40% achieved by other methods. L’Usine Nouvelle
