Seven French and German Airbus unions urged employees in Toulouse to avoid all attempts to oppose the two countries. In a joint statement, they regretted that “our executives do their best to revive nationalistic tensions on the two sides of the Rhine, notably to complete the Power 8 restructuring plan”. They added: “By no means the workers – whether French or German- are responsible for the dysfunctions at the A380 assembly site in Toulouse and within the whole group”. AFP (19/06)
