Bahrain-based Gulf Air invests $ 11Bn in new aircraft in order to enhance its fleet over the next couple of years. Gulf Air’s current fleet includes 30 aircraft. The airline has recently placed orders for 35 Airbus aircraft and for 16 Boeing 787s with an option for eight more. Gulf Air also intends to add more destinations in the Far East and the Middle East.
